The 12th edition of Design Shanghai concluded with remarkable energy and vision, cementing its status as Asia’s foremost international design fair. Read some of the key highlights of the annual design event.

Design Shanghai, Asia’s leading design fair, opens its doors tomorrow and will include a special exhibition around Collectible Design as well as a spotlight on Chinese craftsmanship. Design Shanghai is open between June 4-7, 2025.

The 12th edition of Design Shanghai will explore the theme of ‘design for humanity’. Featuring leading brands from over 30-countries and spotlighting over 600 curated design pieces. The events will take place between June 4th-7th at the World Expo Exhibition Center.

Perrotin Hong Kong’s first group exhibition on contemporary portraiture features ten artists working from a range of cultures and practices to explore different manners of representation and self-representation, and the methods from which they are derived.

What truths do maps truly convey about our place in the world? Continuing her methodological focus on sustainability and temporality, the newest series of works by British-Taiwanese artist Rain Wu allows us to re-imagine our relationship with these cultural artefacts.


In a city about 9000 km away from where they’re based, Brussels art centre WIELS collaborates with the recently opened TANK Shanghai in an exhibition that reflects on the dualistic nature of Belgian contemporary art and culture.

Conceived as a site-specific narrative, this collaborative exhibition by artist Li Qing and curator Jérôme Sans presents an in-depth exploration of the history and space of Prada Rong Zhai, creating a connection between the urban environment of Shanghai, its past, present and future.
