Brussels welcomes a new art fair, The Rooms Art Fair at Mix Brussels, featuring thirty galleries from a variety of genres, from contemporary ceramics to tribal art. Organized by Patrick Mestdagh and Sébastien Janssen, the galleries will transform guest rooms into unique creative spaces. From May 22-25th.

For the 2024 issue: TLmag40: The Ideal Home, curator Romy Cockx wrote about the relationship between fashion and interiors in an essay titled: Wearing the Home in Times of Anxiety. This is a subject which she explores more deeply in the current exhibition: Fashion & Interiors: A Gendered Affair, currently on view at MoMu, the Fashion Museum in Antwerp. Fashion & Interiors: A Gendered Affair explores the interaction between fashion and interiors, with a focus on complex gender dynamics. The exhibition also examines the responses of several influential designers, with a particular emphasis on the visual fusion between these two forms of expression. Herewith is Cockx’s essay reproduced in full with images from the exhibition.

The final days to see Matching Seats, an exhibition of unique, handmade chairs and fashion accessories from the legendary collector Galila Barzilai Hollander. Matching Seats closes May 3rd.

The CID Grand Hornu presents Lucile Soufflet: Common Grounds, a solo exhibition dedicated to the Belgian designer and her specialization around street furniture. The exhibition is on view between March 16-August 24, 2025.

Hotel Amigo, a Rocco Forte hotel in Brussels, collaborates with the Collectible Art Fair and Spazio Nobile Gallery for a special presentation of contemporary artworks between March 6-30, 2025.

ceramic brussels opens its 2nd edition on January 23rd in the sheds of Tour & Taxis. The specialised art fair features 65 galleries and a schedule of talks and related events, including the ceramic brussels art prize award and a spotlight on Norwegian ceramics.

BRAFA 2025 celebrates its 70th edition this January, a milestone achievement for an art and antiques fair. Featuring 130 galleries from 16 countries, BRAFA will take place between January 26th – February 2nd, 2025 at the Brussels Expo.

Spazio Nobile presents Immersion, a solo exhibition by Belgian artist Florence Coenraets featuring new feather paintings and aerial compositions. The exhibition is on view through January 19, 2025.

The Horta Museum invited five designers to decorate the walls of Horta’s house, using velvet. Their interventions will be on display from 13 September 2024 to 30 June 2025.
