Muuto has recently launched its first collection by textile and color designer Margarethe Odgaard. Inspired by traditional textiles from her native Denmark, Odgaard’s “Ply” rug design offers an understated accent to any domestic space, with a zig-zag pattern derived from the weave itself.

A graduate of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Odgaard has worked in the textile industry in various capacities over the course of the last decade. She estabilshed her own studio in Copenhagen three years ago and was awarded the Torsten & Wanja Söderberg Prize in May 2016, with a prize of SEK 1 million and an exhibition at the Röhsska Museum in Sweden, with administers the prize.
