The NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale opened a comprehensive Frank Stella exhibition earlier this month. The showcase traces the evolution of approaches and inspirations that have shaped the American artist’s 60-year long career. Curated by Bonnie Clearwater, the Frank Stella: Experiment and Change showcase (on view till 8 July 2018) presents over 300 works including  iconic pieces drawn from his Abstract Expressionism, Minimalism and Maximalism periods, sculptures from the Moby Dick series, but also rarely seen sketches and notes from the artist’s “working archive.” Such dynamic documentation gives new insight into Stella’s method and his wide range of interests: everything from art history to the latest developments in rapid prototyping technology. Material samples of fluorescent pigment, carbon fibre and titanium reveal the genesis of renowned works like his 1973 concentric square paintings; initially plotted using the visceral qualities of pencilled lines.

The Bourse de Commerce brings together over 100 works from the Pinault Collection to present the exhibition “Corps et âmes,” an exploration of representations of the body in contemporary art. The exhibition is on view through August 25th, 2025.

For her second solo exhibition with Spazio Nobile Gallery, French artist Éva Garcia presents a body of new work based on her two practices: engraving, in dialogue and resonance with sculpture, as a shared vision of the state of the world. Weight, density and texture are omnipresent in a tactility that is both visual and haptic. The strength and fragility of elements such as the human body or rock enter into tension with the eye, provoking a profound emotion that is both total and fragmented. Taille Douce, includes large-scale prints and sculptures in both the main Spazio Nobile gallery and in the Studiolo across the street. The exhibition is on view through May 18, 2025.
