With its south of France location, the Villa Noailles design events are renowned for their bon vivant atmosphere, which has turned many a visitor to devotee. For the 12th time this year, the Hyères house museum is staging its Design Parade exhibition of emerging designers. The sister Interior Design Parade exhibition is presented for the second time, in the neighbouring village of Toulon.

A meticulously selected set of 10 designers and 10 interior designers have been selected from an open call for the main juried exhibition, while satellite shows and interventions are spread throughout the two villages, from June 29 to September 24.

In Hyères, exhibitions are clustered into the villa and include Tutti Frutti by head of the design jury Inge Sempe, Adrien Rovero’s CNC machines repurposed to doodle, and an experimental clay exhibition by Thélonious Goupil, winner of the 2016 jury prize.

Highlights in Toulon include the Workbays exhibition by Ecal and Vitra, a yacht decorated by India Mahdavi, and an idiosyncratic archival exhibition by interior designer Vincent Darré – also president of the jury.
