Celebrated exhibition collective Dutch Invertuals pulls its weight once again. With a future-forward perspective addressing exponential changes and shifting rules, the Dutch Design Week-mounted No Static showcase– curated by Wendy Plomp – seeks-out to reestablish our links with physical elements through in-stagnate motion. Amsterdam-,  Eindhoven- and Rotterdam-based designers – Aliki van der Kruijs, Alissa + Nienke, Arnout Meijer, Edhv, Jelle Mastenbroek, Jólan van der Wiel, Kirstie van Noort, Martina Lasinger, Noman, Odd Matter and Tijmen Smeulders – devise speculative projects that unify body and environment to redefine individual identity; combating the deception that all of daily screens can provide anonymity. Highlights include Welcome by NOMAN: placing the mobility of sliding doors out of intended context to re-mystify its function and project potential poetic values. Arnout Meijers‘ Feet of Twilight questions the reality of perception by asking us to trust our senses and position as we walk through an enclosure flooded with coloured illumination. Martina Lasinger‘s The Theory of Everything is a three part installation visually representing the tabula rasa of creation: the movement and growth of black holes, galaxies and solar systems.
